This 9 inch Stainless Steel Pie pan is tough, durable, dishwasher-safe and rust-proof. We recommend using a nylon spatula or pie server to cut pies in this pan as a sharp knife will scar the surface. This won't harm the pan, just make it not as pretty.
Creamy Pear Pie:
1-single layer unbaked pie shell
Filling:
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Sour Cream
1/4 Cup Flour
1 Egg, Beaten
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1/4 Tsp. Salt
4 Lg. Pears, peeled, cored & sliced
Topping:
2/3 Cup Flour
1/3 Cup Sugar
5 TB. Butter, melted
2/3 Cup Rolled Oats
Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F). In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar, sour cream, 1/4 cup flour, egg, vanilla and salt. Stir until blended. Fold in pears. Pour into pie shell and bake for 15 minutes.
While pie is baking, make the crumble topping: in a bowl, combine 2/3 cup flour, 1/3 cup sugar, melted butter and rolled oats. Remove pie from oven, sprinkle with crumble topping and return to oven and bake until set and crust is browned, about 20 more minutes. Cool completely before serving. Serves 8.
