Here Are Some Simple Directions On How To Cover Your Cake With Rolled Fondant
Directions:

First remove only the amount you need from the container, keeping the unused portion sealed in the container or in plastic wrap.

Dust your table with powdered sugar (make sure your table is completely clean).

Begin kneading the fondant with your hands until it becomes pliable and elastic.

If fondant seem to be drying out too fast, you may knead in solid white shortening to soften fondant.

With a clean rolling pin, carefully roll out fondant to 1/4 inch thickness.

After fondant has reached desired thickness, roll the fondant onto your rolling pin.

Carefully begin draping fondant over cake by slowing unrolling the fondant from your rolling pin as shown in the picture below.

With your hands, press the fondant to the cake and cut off remaining fondant with a cutter or knife.

Using a fondant smoother, gently smooth out fondant and work out any air bubbles.

Decorate as desired.
