Angel white icing mix is a base or starter for delicious buttercream icing. It will whip up to a fluffy, smooth and snow-white consistency. It will produce an icing like bakeries use. It makes a buttercream icing that is smooth enough for the most beautiful decorated cakes, and fluffy enough to fill cream horns or other pastries.
To use, follow this recipe:
1-1/2 lbs. Angel White Icing Base (1/2 of a 3 lb. container)
3 lbs. (12 cups) powdered sugar
1-1/2 lbs. (3 cups) icing shortening (either TBK Brand or Zero Trans Fat)
1 TB. clear vanilla
8 oz. (1 cup) cold water
Add all ingredients except water to a mixing bowl. Slowly add some of the water while mixing on low speed. Add all water slowly. Mix in medium speed for at least 10 minutes.
*To make chocolate buttercream: Melt some TBK Magic Chocolate and add slowly. Add to-taste, the more you add, the darker you will see it become, stop when it is the right darkness for you.
